What a good Twelfth Night!

I saw lots of friends, found a great book on Norse textiles, had a great feast, and enjoyed court. Duchess Dorinda Courtenay got a well-deserved Laurel for her scribal arts. And Don Rian Gortryon was totally surprised when he received a writ for his Laurel, for brewing. His vigil will be at Ice Dragon, and I get to coordinate the food!! Yes, there will be beer, some of brewed by Don Rian.

wyz_azz proved that she was the toughest queen in the Known World by going outside in the snow, in her open Mycenean sandals, to do the burn test on a piece of fabric. The fabric was part of the silent auction and Cuilen, Rhiannon's cadet, was interested in buying. We didn't want him to buy polyester so I asked our Queen about the fabric. She had to go outside to get fire from the smokers to do the test. It turned out to be cotton, yay!, so Cuilen now has yards and yards of sturdy blue cotton for garb and armor.
