Today I had new toilets installed. The condo association decided we all needed low-flows because the water bill was too high. The man who installed them was putting in more than 100 toilets at the condos and, by the time he got to my place, he looked like a total expert. I've never seen a toilet go in so fast. The toilet wax just sizzled.

It's an interesting way to make a living.

Well, I'm moved into my condo!

Signed my life away on Monday at the bank. I'll be paying on this for a long long time. But it's beautiful! And it has room for all my sewing crap, and camping crap.

It's happening! I am really and truly buying a great condo!
Sold my shares of GE to cover closing costs. Check should arrive soon, I hope.
Hired a moving company for Sept. 14. Time to stop bugging my friends for furniture moving. (thanks to everyone who's moved me already!)
Tomorrow, going to the lawyer's office to sign a contract to buy the place.
Already got checked out by the mortgage guy at the credit union. My credit score: 814. Apparently this is good.
Mom (who owns the condo) will repaint to cover up the REALLY weird paint jobs the previous tenants did. Also she will do repairs. Go Mom!
I am so looking forward to seeing the sky again. The place I'm in now is cool and quiet but has NO view of the sky. I don't know what the weather is doing and I hate it.

I have the opportunity to buy my own condo!

Some of you visited me when I was living in this big condo. It has 2 bedrooms, bath, kitchen and living/dining room upstairs, with a deck. Downstairs is a huge (20' x 10') room, with another bath, another 12 x 10 storage room, and large closets.
I have a meeting on Monday with a mortgage officer at my credit union to find out if I can afford it. Wish me luck!
