It's a beautiful spring evening, and I'm counting my blessings.

1. My ex-husband (the SCA-hating jerk) is retired now, but I don't have to see him all day, every day. 'Cause I am out of there!

2. My friends rock!

3. Cooking is still fun.

4. Mom and I are finally getting along.

5. Pirates of the Caribbean, Dead Man's Chest.

6. The new Rubbermaid collapsible containers. Woo-hoo!

7. Squeeze tubes of chopped ginger, lemongrass and cilantro. Beats the hell out of decaying veggies in the frig.

8. Public libraries!

9. My union and the many bennies from our contract, allowing me to live happily and have many vacation days.

10. Thoroughbred horse racing, the sport of kings. I (hope to) have tickets to the Breeder's Cup at Churchill Downs this fall.
